EXPLORE INTUITION THROUGH NATURE... since March 2004
This website was last updated: 8/5/2008
From left to right: A selection of pictures from our last Sunday's walk, which was on the 30th April 2008. It was a walk from the Upper East Fort on the left hand side of the road coming from Hout Bay to the Manganese Mine and to Last Shade and Rest. The walk offered maginifienct views over Hout Bay.
Location of walk
On Sunday 13 April 2008 at 09h30 you are invited for a walk from the Saddle Path at Tafelberg Road up to the Lower Contour Path. From here the route will take us left along past Oppelskop, Blockhouse Ridge and head towards the Twelve O'Clock Rock hole which is clearly visible from the city in alignment with the three towers. From here we will walk on to the fire lookout point and to the ruin above Oppelskop. We would be above the peak that is in alignment with the three towers. This ruin of a old forestry lookout post and the kop itself is a marvellous spot to take in the city views. This will also be our lunch spot. This route promises to offer spectacular views over the city.
The weather forecast is set to be partly cloudy... temp max 27c / min 16°c.
Duration of walk
Approximately 5 hours (please note that these times may vary) with sufficient time to stop along the way (remember 1.5 hour of the allocated time is set aside for breaks and to explore the wonders of nature). This walk is suitable for most levels of fitness, however the pace will not be hurried....Bring along a snack for lunch, comfortable walking shoes, a hat and/or beanie (for the wind), sunblock, a jersey, a rain coat if you have, and sufficient water
(NB at least 1.5 litres).
Suggested Donation per person: R25.00
However, if this is a problem do contact me, as I would not want this to prevent you from joining us on the walk
Directions…
We will meet at the offroad parking at the entrance to the Saddle Path/Devils Peak Walk. If coming from the cable car station on Tafelberg Road, it would be the next offroad parking after Patteklip Gorge on the left hand side. (You will also see a whole lot of trees on the left hand side of the road).
If you need further directions, do email me for more info. Please do let me know if you will coming along on our little adventure. If possible send a contact number, as the weather in winter can be quite unpredictable. As word of note weather can be quite unpredictable and winds can make the mountain quite chilly. It also good to bring along a warm jersey and waterproof light rain coat if possible.

Please note, as I am going into the 4th year of offering these regular walks, the fees will now be R25.00 per person for the Table Mountain walks. A great opportunity to meet like-minded people who share similar soulful interests, not to mention to see some of Cape Town magical spots, as we slow the pace down to re-connect within.
As a reminder. It is always best to be pro-active. If possible only walk in organised groups. One of my priorities is safety and in the three years of organising these walks, we have not had any such bad experiences. We are armed with good intentions, radios, waking sticks and a group size not less than 10. We are determined not to be put off from exploring the wonderful, heavenly piece of heritage which we have in Table Mountain.
The weather forecast is set to be Partly cloudy becoming fine. Temp max 26c / min 18°c.
Some of the pictures can be viewed below on this page from last Sunday's walk. The next open group walk after this week will be on the 13th January 2008 at 09h30am (remember 1.5 hour of the allocated time is set aside for breaks and to explore the wonders of nature).

A note to all those who love being out on our favourite mountain, always walk in an organised group and consider safety as a priority. May your day be filled with Love and blessings. Iain.
Wherever possible the lunchbreaks have been extended to 45-60mins offering everyone
a chance to chill out and connect with others or find a quiet spot to meditate. Remember
that even if it rains in the early hours of the morning before it gets light, there is a good
chance that the weather will clear up, which has been the case for many Sundays.
Being in Nature on a regular basis helps us to connect body, mind and spirit energetically and leaves you rejuvenated and with a sense of grounding. For those that are drawn by the calling of Intuition and nature, these walks make for a great way to meet like-minded, soulful individuals who share similiar interests.
