Timetable & Tariffs - 2012
These Intuition Nature Walks are just that and not a hike for those who are looking to get super fit. A great opportunity to meet and connect with like-minded people who share similar soulful interests, not to mention to see some of Cape Town magical spots, as we slow the pace down to re-connect within.
Being within powerful nature landscapes slows down one's pace to smell the flowers along the way and take in the breathtaking scenery, regenerating our energy for life with its unpredictable turns. It also dilutes extreme individualism and its inevitable aloneness. Being out in nature for longer periods can be about a journey to a place where disordered, uncontrolled life can have expression because it is held. Nature can hold you in balance; in its tranquillity and harmony of beingness.
The walks have been designed for all ages (the ages range from 18 - 72 amongst those who normally come along on my regular Sunday Intuition Walks). Children are also welcome on the Sunday walks.
Click here to view all the trails on offer. These routes have been put together to offer you a variety of landscapes and views.
Safety is very important and the group size ranges between a minimum number 10- 15 people. See Time Table for a listing of available dates. Email or call to see if dates listed are available. @ -- Sunday 12th February 2012 - Full Day River Trail Walk on Sunday the 29th of January 2012 - Krom River Trail - Du Toitskloof ( just after the tunnel on the N1 on the left).
This easy out-and-back trail starts in Du Toitskloof, immediately to the left after the Worcester exit of the Huguenot Tunnel. Permit holders can park at a fenced parking area, about 700m after the tunnel, on the left side of the road near the tunnel control truck stop. The trail crosses the Krom and Molenaars Rivers and leads for 2.5km (about 2.5 hours) to the Krom River waterfall.
The first section (about 10 minutes) of the footpath follows the right bank of the Molenaars River in the direction of the old tunnel. When it reaches the Krom River the path follows the right side of the kloof. At the top end of the kloof the vegetation becomes more dense. The last section leads through indigenous riverine forest to the first waterfall.
7km (8hrs) - 3.5km each way. The trail follows the river - passing magnificent mountain pools up to the waterfall (ideal for swimming)
